Weber Shandwick Named Agency of Record for Brammo, Manufacturer of Plug-In Electric Motorcycles
SEATTLE, June 8 /PRNewswire/ — Weber Shandwick has been named public relations agency of record for Brammo, a manufacturer of plug-in electric motorcycles. Brammo is launching its first model, the Enertia, which goes on sale at Best Buy in the Portland market in early July.
The Ashland, Oregon-based company selected Weber Shandwick for its deep experience in the fields of “clean technology,” transportation and consumer marketing. Brammo is ramping up production of the Enertia, an urban commuter bike that exceeds speeds of 50mph and can travel 45-plus miles on a single three-hour charge. At roughly $.32 per fill-up and under one-cent per mile, the Enertia is positioned to be the green alternative for the new urban consumer.
“The Brammo team is really excited about this new partnership,” said Brammo CEO Craig Bramscher (Twitter: @brammocraig). “We have a great story to tell, and Weber Shandwick’s experience in consumer cleantech and strong media contacts worldwide will be of great help.”
“Weber Shandwick looks to work with the most innovative leaders in sustainable technology, and we look forward to partnering with Brammo to build awareness and drive sales of its plug-in motorcycles,” remarked William Brent (Twitter: @mrcleantech), senior vice president at Weber Shandwick and head of the agency’s Cleantech practice.

A decent article by RRX’s Mark Gardiner chronicles the story of how Craig Bramscher, CEO of Brammo, came to Ashland, Oregon to build a supercar, and ended up with a vision about an entirely different kind of vehicle.
This article appeared on May 14, 2009, and it included a photo of Bramscher sitting calmly at his desk.
Some of the more obsessive readers of this article found that they could zoom in on the monitor on Bramscher’s desk and examine a picture of the Enertia TTR “with warpaint” which is currently being prepared for the TTXGP race. By May 17, 2009, the story of the picture appeared in Autobloggreen, a blog covering alternative fuel vehicles.
According to the countdown clock on Brammo’s and TTXGP’s sites, about 22 days remain before this modified commuter cycle faces stiff competition in the 37 mile race on this small island between England and Ireland. Let’s
Where to begin? This is an exciting time to be following the EV industry.
Perhaps the most exciting product right now is the Brammo Enertia Plug-in Electric Motorcycle.
This electric motorcycle will soon be making its appearance at select Best Buy stores on the West Coast.
As Brammo prepares for this release, it is also preparing a racing prototype of the Enertia which will appear in the TTXGP, The Worlds First Zero Carbon, Clean Emission Grand Prix, which will be held next month on the Isle of Man.
The purpose of this blog is to follow the news of this bike as it continues to make history.
