Weber Shandwick Named Agency of Record for Brammo, Manufacturer of Plug-In Electric Motorcycles
SEATTLE, June 8 /PRNewswire/ — Weber Shandwick has been named public relations agency of record for Brammo, a manufacturer of plug-in electric motorcycles. Brammo is launching its first model, the Enertia, which goes on sale at Best Buy in the Portland market in early July.
The Ashland, Oregon-based company selected Weber Shandwick for its deep experience in the fields of “clean technology,” transportation and consumer marketing. Brammo is ramping up production of the Enertia, an urban commuter bike that exceeds speeds of 50mph and can travel 45-plus miles on a single three-hour charge. At roughly $.32 per fill-up and under one-cent per mile, the Enertia is positioned to be the green alternative for the new urban consumer.
“The Brammo team is really excited about this new partnership,” said Brammo CEO Craig Bramscher (Twitter: @brammocraig). “We have a great story to tell, and Weber Shandwick’s experience in consumer cleantech and strong media contacts worldwide will be of great help.”
“Weber Shandwick looks to work with the most innovative leaders in sustainable technology, and we look forward to partnering with Brammo to build awareness and drive sales of its plug-in motorcycles,” remarked William Brent (Twitter: @mrcleantech), senior vice president at Weber Shandwick and head of the agency’s Cleantech practice.

Nice point of view footage of the TTR taking the curves… somewhere. I’m thinking Oregon, just prior to the trip to IOM.
Was having some trouble with blogger.com so I decided to give wordpress a try. Nothing amazing to report today, so far. Just the usual chatter about the TTXGP, Best Buy being a sponsor, the CP+B slave intern auction, and, on Twitter, @nycmotorcycle ‘s two great ideas:
- Video manipulation of famous motorcycle-related scenes from movies, with Brammo Enertias inserted into them.
- A round-the-world trip on an Enertia.
Let’s see how WordPress handles the curves over the next few days.
@bogusky is the “B” in CP+B, also known as Crispin Porter + Bogusky, an Advertising/PR firm. They count among their clients the Geek Squad, that love ’em or hate ’em group of techs who do Best Buy’s bidding. Let’s hope that they can change the way some vocal critics think about the Squad.
It sounds like Brammo CEO Craig Bramscher has a trick up his sleeve. From twitter, he posted this update, at 2:05 am, today:
okay bike # 1 is ready for the crate – and #2?
Thanks for the teaser, @brammocraig.
UPDATE – 3pm Central:
Adrian Stewart, the Director of Channel Development at Brammo, just tweeted:
TTR bike #1 is crated up and heads off for the Isle of Man. TTXGP
Further evidence that there are TWO.
