Brammo Enertia on its way to Field of Dreams

A Brammofan reader from Iowa, “Hawkeye,” forwarded me an email he just received from Brammo:

Dear [Hawkeye],

I am delighted to inform you that your Brammo Enertia has shipped to Iowa. Delivery will be towards the end of next week, a Brammo technician will contact you shortly and arrange a convenient date and time. The Brammo technician will be on site for the delivery, he will uncrate the motorcycle and go through the controls with you and hand over all the relevant documentation. He will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding the Enertia motorcycle.

Meanwhile should you have any questions whatsoever please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you once again for choosing Brammo and the Enertia.

Kind regards and happy riding.

Adrian

Hawkeye has promised that he will provide me an “unboxing” video and said that I could “take a look” if I come to visit.  According to my Iowegian/American translation dictionary, “take a look” means “take it for an extended ride.”  If I time this right, I should be able to combine this trip with Oktemberfest.

By the way, the delivery stats for this package are:

Miles, one way: 1,900.

Estimated time given an average speed of 60 mph: 31.6 hours

Estimated time given an average speed of 60 mph, fuel stops, beer runs, potty stops, side trip to casino in Elko, Nevada: Unknown.

Carbon cost of trip to and from Hawkeye’s Driveway: 3 tons of CO2.

Carbon savings when Hawkeye drives to town (to pick up corn skewers) on his Enertia instead of on his 1952 John Deere G tractor: purt near a crapload of CO2.

Look on Hawkeye’s face when the Brammo Van pulls up in front of his trailer: Priceless.
